The tree for which permission is being sought to remove emerges unintentionally from an existing, mature Beech hedge. This Beech hedge is maintained via annual pruning at a height of approx. 2.3m. however one end of the hedge has been disregarded and as a result a tree has been inadvertently allowed to emerge. This Beech tree (B), which has a trunk 25cm in diameter, is of no value and is now interfering with an existing mature Cypress (11). The trees growth is also affecting neighbours properties and if left unaddressed will impact the rest of the hedge which is a much cherished feature see plan and annotated photos attached, ref 20251201 101 Raglan Road. Removal will involve cutting the trunk of the emergent Beech (B) at point C (See photo 3), having first removed branches (See photo 2). permission has been granted by neighbours to use their property for access.
