RE483: TPO Spruce - Large Spruce grown in close proximity to the property Note: 4 meters from property not 9 meters as suggested in the TPO documentation. Property owner had witnessed how this tree moved in storm weather last winter and would therefore like the tree removed. Proposed works: To fell Spruce adjacent to front door and grind out stump.

T1 Beech - Fell TPO Beech on road boundary with evidence of meripilus to 3m stump. The tree looks in poor health in the upper crown and has multiple old clumps of fungus at the base. Situated on the roadside, this tree could easily cause damage to persons or property if it were to fail. Tree is unsuitable for long term retention.

T1: Sycamore - TPO tree with large cavity at base. Twin stemmed from 1m then trifucated at 2m. A large dominant tree overhanging neighbouring property and garden. The tree appears to have good vitality and there were no visible signs of fungal fruiting bodies at the time of inspection. There is a large cavity at ground level probed to 1m depth and 1.5m width originating between the buttress roots on the south side of the stem, located directly beneath the bifurcation, There is black staining within the cavity. As this cavity is large and at ground level there are significant forces acting on this area. We would recommend that the crown of the tree is crown reduced by up to 3.5m in height and 3m lateral spread in order to reduce the lever forces on the stem and reduce the chances of complete failure from the base/bifurcation reducing the risk posed to adjacent property. Current height 20m finished height 16.5m. Current spread N8m E7m S8m W8, finished radial spread approximately 5m.
