Proposal
T1 - Oak on boundary of rear car parl behind 19 Priestlands Close. Crown reduce to suitable secondary growth at or just above previous pruning points by upto 2 meters in height and 2.5 meters of lateral growth to leave the canopy approximately 16 meters high and 11 meters of lateral spread. Remove major deadwood over 300mm in diameter or 600mm in length throughout the canopy. Justification for works - to maintain the historic pruning cycle and manage the tree at size appropriate to its location, to prevent deadwood falling onto pedestrians, gardens or vehicles beneath.

T1- Cedar (Cedrus Atlantica). Selective pruning of the lateral crown to reduce over extended limbs by 1.5-2m (Predominately on the east and west sides to rebalance), reduce other limbs where necessary to appropriate growth points with the goal of reducing weight load and rebalancing the crown. Remove deadwood over 40mm diameter and 50cm length. Reduce or remove large dead limb on west side of tree at 3m height. Supply and installation of 3x non-invasive 8tn Cobra bracing between three co-dominant stems, to reduce movement between branch unions and mitigate likelihood of structural failure. Use of a mobile elevated working platform (cherry picker) will be utilised to ensure we prune to the appropriate points, for tree health and aesthetics.

Trees 1 and 2 (adjacent 150) prune back from their dwelling/garage by circa 3m and remove deadwood. The branches of both trees are extending across the curtilage of 150 Fleetwood Close. Some are in close proximity to the dwelling. Early pruning work, as requested, will enable the tree crown to be managed without recourse to substantial pruning cuts. Early intervention is therefore considered to be best practice in accordance with BS3998:2010: Tree Works - Recommendations. Tree 3 reduce height to circa 6m above ground level. The tree is in decline and presents no regenerative growth from lower on the branches or stem structure. If regenerative growth had been present it would have been feasible to specify pruning works to suitable growth points. Given the state of decline and absence of suitable pruning points it is considered prudent to remove the major branches but retain the lower stem for its ecological value. Works can be undertaken in accordance with BS3998:2010: Tree Works - Recommendations.
