Deodar Cedarland - We are seeking to have the lower limb of a deodar cedarland, located at the rear of the garden of 1 GABLES WAY removed as it has grown away from the main 'bulk' of the tree and encroaches onto our property considerably. The 'offshoot' also means that a large amount of pines from the tree are dropped into our garden, which is causing issues with grass growth and limiting the amount of usable space within our garden for our children to have a 'play area' (some of the branches are very low hanging). We have sought advice from a professional tree surgeon (ARB Limited), who have advised that this lower limb could be safely removed without being detrimental to the health of the tree or affecting the aesthetics of the tree. There are also some small lower branches that appear to be dead and would benefit the tree if these were removed. We have spoken with the owners of the property/garden in which the tree is located and they have no objections to these works being carried out if permission is granted. please see the attached photographs which clearly show the amount the tree overhangs our property and the areas of grass being affected the the dropped pines. Also attached is the plan showing the location of the tree and the two properties and the information of the TPO.

x1 Ash - Reduce by approx 2.5m from all aspects, raise canopy to 4m. Reason:- To reduce shading, and maintain tree at current height, roots are lifting adjacent hardstanding and surrounding area, to mitigate root spread and remove die back, to give clearance from adjacent building
