4 Park House Gates Nottingham Nottingham City NG3 5LX
Remove to the ground one horse chestnut tree Reason for the removal Our arborist is concerned as to the safety of the tree, it has a large hole in the trunk, last year large branches fell down onto the footpath which could have caused danger to people walking by. The leaves turn brown and drop early this is caused by Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner. The larvae of the moth Cameraria ohridella burrows within the leaf of the tree and cause it to brown and shrivel early in the year. There have been no conkers on the tree for the past six years. Due to the many trees in our garden we are unable to separate the deceased horse chestnut leaves from the healthy leaves from the other trees.

Number on Plan Description T8 Remove pollarded Lime. To prevent further damage and blockage by root ingress into sewer that runs within a few feet of the tree. [Original permission (Ref 16/02312/PWC) was to fell the tree, due to damage by roots to drains and sewers. A sewer in the drive, within a few feet of the tree, provides foul drainage for three properties including ours. Pollarding was undertaken in 2016 as an interim measure to see if it reduced sewer problems whilst retaining the tree. Further pollarding was undertaken in early 2021, with permission (21/00006/PWC)] T7 Remove branches of mature sycamore overhanging pedestrian access path/steps to front of house. Pigeons roost in these branches, depositing large amounts of excreta on to the path, making it slippery and unpleasant to walk on. Pressure cleaning of the path and side wall have to be undertaken regularly.

I have attached a sketch plan to this application. I am seeking permission to fell the tree if there is no other action which can be taken to avoid damage which is believed is being caused by the presence of tree roots.

Tree 1, Conifer (forming end of hedge) Remove top 2.5m of reaching trunk to level with hedge height at roughly 2m from ground level. Tree 2, Leylandii. Sectional fell to ground level. The tree has reached a size it is getting close to the house at neighbouring property no' 7, it blocks light for no' 7&9 and is severely overshadowing the growth of better specimens, (Trees 3&4). Trees 3 & 4. Cherry. (growing closely together, crowns to be treated as one tree) Due to the overshadowing vigorous growth of T2, the tree's crown has grown sprawling and leggy. We propose a 6-8m crown reduction bringing the height down to roughly 4m from ground level. Future growth should form a better crown shape after the removal of T2.

The Nook Albert Road Mapperley Nottingham Nottingham City NG3 4JD
The tree is a Lime tree at The Nook in Albert Road, NG3 4JD in the Alexandra Park conservation area.? The tree is on the edge of our property at the front of the house (and I therefore assume is our responsibility) but is basically in a public area on the street.? ?We have lived here for just over 2 years and undertstand that the tree was once pollarded but appears to have been allowed to grow since.? On the advice of our tree surgeon, we intend to repollard the lime tree back to the main stem to reduce the weight of the branches that are overhanging the road and our garage. This action is necessary due to the presence of a significant cavity from which four main stems are growing (see attached photo and video). By pollarding the tree, we can alleviate the stress on these branches, which will ultimately help preserve the health and longevity of the tree. Reducing the weight of the branches will minimize the risk of breakage and potential damage, ensuring that the tree remains stable and healthy for years to come.

Plan of site of tree, no 1 , Aesculus hippcastanum, will be attached. This tree has been pollarded many years ago and we were advised by an arborist about 12 yr ago (I applied through this portal) to have the regrown very tall epicormic branches shortened which was done. The trunk is forked and one fork grew a large bracket fungus, now fallen off, but this fork clearly has areas of rot the epicormic branches from it did not grow leaves this year. The other fork has at least one non vital epicormic branch. We have been advised that by an arborist that the tree is dying and felling has been recommended. My proposal for replacement is 2 Betula jaqumontii

T2 - Leyland Cypress (centre of front garden): Dismantle to ground level - Half of the tree has failed and fell on to the road in the recent storms, not viable to be retained due to the extent of the damage to the stem of the tree.

The tree in question is no. T13 shown on the OS and Site Plan. The tree is a Contorted or Corkscrew Willow and it is just inside my front boundary. The tree regularly sheds branches and in the last two weeks when we had high winds it shed about 6; these branches are between 3 and 6cm diameter at the break and measure 3 to 5m long. The tree is so large now that there is a danger of the dropping branches falling into the street and the tree is so tall is is difficult for me to get to them when they break but have not yet fallen. Therefore I want permission for the crown reduction indicated on the accompanying drawings and photos. I have sought guidance from an arboriculturist who I gave the following brief to: 1. I don't want the tree to die. 2. I want to be able to manage its shedding of branches in a safe manner. 3. I want the tree to be reduced in volume so that the chances of breaking branches are less likely to land in the street. If permission is given, once the crown reduction is carried out, the top of the tree will be around 5m above my garden level; that's about 6m above the adjacent pavement.

Tree is a large holly in the back of our garden. Advice from local tree surgeon is that it would benefit from a small reduction in size for maintenance and retaining good shape. We would like to reduce the height by approximately 5m-6m to ensure the health and form of the tree, and ensure stability in high winds. The tree is very large and close neighbouring properties and we are unaware of any maintenance completed over the life of the tree.

The holly tree is at the left hand side of the property, when looking at it from the pavement on Shirley Road. It is a few metres behind the large wooden gates at the top of the driveway. The tree is currently taller than the house (3 storey house). We are proposing to reduce the height of the tree by half (approximatley 4-5m). The tree is the only one in that location.

Tree species: Ash Tree that doesn't have a TPO. Proposed works: to have the tree felled. Reason for having the tree felled: It is damaging the gutters and the fascias/soffits on our house to the point where the wood is rotten and needs replacing. As a result we are having damp issues in our house as the gutters are not working efficiently. Also the tree is causing pests issues in our roof because of squirrels using it to get onto our roof. This is very dangerous as they could chew on the cables. Having to get pests control in. If this tree is cut down there will not be a tree replacement because planting trees close to the house is not good.
