Mark from Holbrook Garden Maintenance is the contractor and has been out today to look at the trees ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have three acres of land with many trees. I took it on 3 years ago and it wasnt managed properly for 20 years. There are many trees that need looking at, especially those alluded to in the report dated 6.12.23 by the structural engineer (HWA consulting engineers) in the mill pond and along the watercourse. This includes self seeded willows in the silt of the pond and many trees that have self seeded within the wall of the brook ( grade 2 listed walls leading from the sluice gates). When I spoke to Fergus today he said hed look at these when he came out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I spoke to Fergus today about a 60 ft Goat Willow with a split stem. One of the stems has fallen down and has left partial roots for the remaining 60 foot stem. The tree is on the grade 2 listed wall line to the brook. I have marked it with a cross on the site map. Fergus says this is an unsafe tree and can come down without needing to go though planing. He said to send an email wit

This application is to reduce a large, mature Lime tree situated in a small rear garden at Vicarage Close, Belper. The tree is subject of a TPO/92 and also is within a conservation area. The tree has been subject to a previous reduction authorisation and the request is to reduce it to the previous points as before, as well as remove small amounts of epicormic growth on the lower part of the tree. Photographs supplied clearly show where the previous points reduced to last time and the size of the tree. Currently, the branches of the tree are touching the roof of the house and leaf mess is causing blockages to the guttering of the premises. It is also overhanging all the neighbouring properties. The occupant accepts the importance of the tree, the leaf mess and lack of light that comes with it, but is now concerned about the height.

I have asked a tree surgeon (evergreen treescapes) to reduce the height of all three to approximately 7ft so that I can maintain them and increase the light to the rest of the garden in the afternoon and for next doors garden in the morning. The trees are approximately 16feet high

Application for the removal of, Black Walnut tree, situated in the back garden of the property. My client wishes to apply for the removal of this mature Black Walnut tree for various reasons, mainly being that the tree has now grown too large for its setting, the tree has been regularly pruned previously, however this still leaves the majority of the garden in shade when in leaf - meaning that it is extremely difficult to grow other flora. In particular, newly planted fruit trees have not been able to establish due to this, and with the Black Walnut trees roots secreting chemicals (Juglone), they therefore suppress other flora. There is also concern for the other residents in neighboring properties, numerous and different size branches have been known to fall off due to storm damage, within the property itself and neighboring ones, and the same problem with a lack of natural light has been a concern for local residents. If given the permission, we would dismantle and fell the tree on site, the wood be used for fuel and the remaining branches chipped and used as biomass. The black walnut tree is not a native tree, so if permission were granted a new native tree would be planted in its place, i have recommended an Oak tree, but will be open to suggestions from the local council and the client,
