CROWN REDUCTION. TREES ARE SUBSTANTIALLY OVERHANGING OUR PROPERTY. TRE/2020/0833 Decided
55 Tamworth Street Duffield Belper Derbyshire DE56 4EZ
Further to my conversation with Fergus, DCC Tree Officer, I propose a 2m crown reduction to the Goat Willow (marked with a blue line on the attached plan) and the removal of the conifer (marked with a yellow line on the attached plan) The reason being that a tree in this location was blown over across the public footpath and damaged our neighbours property. The trees are in falling distance of our house, the neighbours house and the public footpath. The tree officer advised that a crown reduction would reduce the chance of the willow being blown over. We are retaining a large number of trees along the boundary and the proposed work does not adversely impact amenity. Additionally, we note our intention to remove any branches on any of the trees along our boundary that obstruct the public footpath up to a height of 2.4m above the footpath and any branches that obstruct our driveway, up to 2.4m above ground level.

The Old Court House 3 Chesterfield Road Belper Derbyshire DE56 1FD
I propose to crown lift single Yew tree (T1) to a height of 4metres and reduce branches growing towards property to give 2m clearance. I would like to do this to allow more light in give more clearance for driveway traffic, this would also include some branches growing over footpath which will prevent it needing to be done in the near future. I propose to remove single multi-stemmed Hawthorne tree (T2) it is within a large hedgerow and is in decline. there are large areas of dieback within the crown and the customer would like it removed along with a couple of other dead trees within this hedgerow. we do not feel there is an immediate risk of it falling but it is in decline and will need removing at some point. I propose to crown lift single Horse chestnut tree (T3) to 3 metres and crown thin by uptown 15% I would like to do this again to allow more light in to the garden and get it away from hedges. I propose to crown reduce single Cherry tree (T4) by 40% this tree has been previously reduced a couple of times and has now been left for some years and ha got quite leggy so I feel it should be brought down in height. this Is also to allow more light into lower part of the garden and open up the view that the property has. Sunny Bank Holly Bush Lane Makeney Belper Derbyshire DE56 0RX
Common Alder - Alnus Glutinosa - T1, on the northern boundary between Sunny Bank, Holly Bush Lane and Auld Well, Holly Bush Lane. Fell This tree is showing signs of rot in the crown where previous work has taken place. The tree has also grown to a size where its branches are starting to shade and interfere with the house structures either side. I am also concerned that the tree roots are starting to invade the drains and footings of Sunny Bank and Auld Well, the neighbouring property. An alternative tree will be planted in its place.

- Specie of Tree - Goat Willow - Felling of entire tree. We had previously had clip em and fell em out and they advised 2 years ago to remove the tree due to the position of it and its rapid growth. At the time as we had recently moved into the property we decided to prune it instead, but it has proved to be troublesome causing damage to the shed and does grow vigorously every year. - We would look at replanting a smaller tree in the garden to compensate for the loss of this tree, but we wouldnt be able to position it where the existing one is. This is because the Goat Willow is situated between two garden buildings on the boundary of the property. It was never planted but seeded naturally and has been allowed to grow over a number of years.

16A Chatham Court Belper Derbyshire DE56 0DX
Initial Proposal: T1. Oak. Formative prune/ reshape crown. Crown suppressed by T2. T2. Oak. Fell. Planted close to property and above large septic tank. The tree will need continual pruning throughout the years and will cause damage to the driveway. Its presence cause light issues for neighbouring properties that are overshadowed by the crown. Its loss would be mitigated by the retention of T1. T3. Oak. Rebalance crown, crown clean. Tidy poor pruning cuts. Updated specification for works following discussion: T1 Oak. Reduce crown by 2 metres to create more compact and manageable shape. T2 Oak. Reduce crown by 3 metres to form a compact shake and give distance to properties. T3 Oak. Rebalance crown over neighbouring property by maximum of 1.5 metres and remove dead wood and tidy poor pruning cuts.
