Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Works to various trees as specified by Thames Valley Tree Care Ltd in the Headington Hill Conservation area. T1 Red Oak - thinning will be carried out evenly across the full extent of the crown rather than concentrating on the inner canopy. The volume of leaf-bearing shoots and secondary branches removed must not exceed 30% of the total canopy. T2 Beech - It is recommended that the crown of T2 (Beech) be raised to achieve a final clearance height of 5.0 m above ground level. G1 - Silver Birch - It is recommended to be pruned back to the vicinity of the boundary to maximise light levels within the adjacent garden and ensure adequate clearance from the neighbouring property.

The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
