Proposal
Work to be carried out to mature Purple Plum tree located on back garden rear boundary: 1. Cut back branches overhanging neighbour's property (approx. halfway to boundary). (In order to give light, reduce weight and reduce debris). 2. Clear 2-3 ft section of ivy around main trunk, leaving remaining ivy above to die off. 3. All foliage/waste to be removed to licensed trade waste recycling facility.

The process from here
This application is with Nottingham for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About this record
Reading the register
This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that Nottingham is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.
Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.

T1 Robinina Acacia Tree has had recent storm damage, we are proposing to reduce the remaining crown by approx 3m to reduce sail. The tree has signs of cavities to the base of the multi stemmed area so this would reduce chance of future failure and prolong the tree.
