Proposal
The application seeks consent to remove T5 and T6 and reconstruct the affected pedestrian access. Two replacement trees are proposed within the site frontage using an engineered planting design, with their final locations to be determined through detailed design and site investigations. The proposal is presented as a revised scheme that would retain four of the six protected trees while addressing the existing conflict between tree roots and the pedestrian surface. See Chapter 6.27 (Option 26) for the removal of T5 and T6 and engineered replacement planting, and Chapter 7.5, Preferred Replacement Planting Design. The location plan is shown on page 13 of the Arboricultural Report.

The process from here
This application is with Nottingham for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About this record
Reading the register
This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that Nottingham is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.
Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.

Removal of epicormic basal growth up to the main branch union using hand tools only. The tree is a European Lime protected under TPO 1042 T1. A 5 day notice is required as the excessive basal growth is causing an obstruction to the public footway on the highway, necessitating urgent works to maintain safe pedestrian access.
