  T1 - 1x Prunus avium (Wild Cherry) - Fell to ground level. Tree failed to come into leaf during the 2026 growing season following previous deadwood removal works. The tree appears dead and is in close proximity to the highway. T2 - 1x Betula pendula (Silver Birch) - Fell to ground level. Tree appears dead with no obvious signs of recovery and overhangs the adjacent highway. Removal is proposed due to the risk associated with the loss of structural integrity in a dead tree adjoining the road.

  T1: Oak Tree (shown as T on plan):- Reduce back the overhanging branches from No.18 Milldale Close by approximately 2m. Reduce the height of the tree by no more than 2m on the side facing No.18 Milldale by selectively removing the longer outgrowing branches to leave suitable replacements with a natural, tapered flowing branch line.   Tree Code: Sgl/008020 Species: Tilia x europaea (Common Lime) Recommended Works: Sectional fell to approximately 1 metre above ground level, retaining the stump as a deadwood habitat. Reason for Removal: The tree is exhibiting significant structural decline and instability, including: Extensive basal cavity and decay affecting the stem base and root plate. Multiple large Ganoderma fruiting bodies around the tree circumference, indicating extensive internal decay. Evidence of root damage, root plate instability and potential root failure. Cracked, lifting and necrotic bark on both the stem and roots. Canker-like growth on a root buttress suggesting underlying dysfunctional tissue development. Crossing branches, a tight fork union and associated structural weaknesses. Surface root disruption and exposed roots. Epicormic growth within the crown, consistent with physiological stress. Given the extent of decay and evidence of structural failure, retention of the tree is no longer considered appropriate, and removal is recommended on safety grounds.
