Proposal
We have a single Horse Chestnut Tree in our back garden. The lower branches have sagged below six feet. Our request is to trim the lower branches so that that lower height of the crown is just above six feet. We have a gardener capable of doing this work.

The tree is a very tall silver birch (T1) located on the left hand side of the rear garden looking west from Lucknow Avenue. The tree leans at a precarious angle (about 25 degrees from the vertical) and the roots are perched on a crumbling rockery bank. If the tree should fall it is in danger of reaching our neighbors garden and may pose a risk to the small child living there. We would replace this silver birch with a new sapling of the same species, plant it close to the existing tree's position but on a more stable, flat piece of ground (we have already planted four silver birches and three fruit trees during our time at this address). We have today had advice and a quotation from (Lee at) Charnwood Tree Services and would like to proceed with the felling to ground level of this tree as soon as is possible. Regards, R L Toynton.
