What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

3 x lime trees to the front of the property (these are not subject to TPOs) - reduce to 15 ft in height The lime trees are affecting the growth / shape of 2 x Yew trees that are planted close by. Also the roots of the lime trees are affecting the wall to the front of the property Italian Cypress - would like to remove due to poor health. It is sheltered by other trees so only has growth on one side. Common Juniper - would like to remove as it overgrown and mis-shaped. Holly - reduce in height Laurel - reduce in height

59 Lucknow Avenue Nottingham NG3 5AZ
The tree is a very tall silver birch (T1) located on the left hand side of the rear garden looking west from Lucknow Avenue. The tree leans at a precarious angle (about 25 degrees from the vertical) and the roots are perched on a crumbling rockery bank. If the tree should fall it is in danger of reaching our neighbors garden and may pose a risk to the small child living there. We would replace this silver birch with a new sapling of the same species, plant it close to the existing tree's position but on a more stable, flat piece of ground (we have already planted four silver birches and three fruit trees during our time at this address). We have today had advice and a quotation from (Lee at) Charnwood Tree Services and would like to proceed with the felling to ground level of this tree as soon as is possible. Regards, R L Toynton.
