The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

6 Larwood Grove Nottingham Nottingham City NG5 3JD
PROPOSAL: WORKS TO LIME TREE (T10) PROTECTED BY TPO (EDWARDS LANE/LARWOODGROVE) TO SIGINIFICANTLY REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE TREE TO MINIMIZE THE HAZARD THE TREE IS CURRENTLY POSING TO THE PROPERTY AND ITS OCCUPANTS AND SURROUNDING AREA DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE TREE AND PROXIMITY TO PROPPERTY (6 LARWOOD GROVE). THE TREE TRUNK STRADLES THE BOUNDRY BETWEEN 5 AND 6 LARWOOD GROVE ( BACK GARDEN), HOWEVER IT IS MUCH CLOSER TO THE PROPERTY AT 6 LARWOOD GROVE, WITH THE TREE BRANCHES VISIBLY OVERHANGING OVER THE ROOF. THE DISTANCE OF THE TREE TRUNK TO THE PROPERTY IS ESTIMATED TO BE APPROX 5 METERS. BROKEN OFF BRANCHES ARE DROPPING TO THE GROUND DAILY, WITH SIZE AND FREQUENCY OF THE DEBRIS INCREASING IN WINDY CONDITIONS. THE BRANCHES ARE LANDING IN FRONT OF THE GARDEN BACK DOOR (USED TO ACCESS THE BACK GARDEN). MAIN CONCERN IS THE SIZE OF THE TREE AND ITS PROXIMITY TO THE HOUSE AND FEAR IT MAY COLLAPSE ON TO THE PROPERTY AND ITS OCCUPANTS, IN STORMY WEAHTER CONDITIONS. WE ARE CALLING THE COUNCIL TO INSPECT IT AND NOT TO IGNORE OUR SAFETY (WE 2 CHILDREN AND PETS). THE DANGER IS REAL AND OUR CONCERNS SHOULD NOT BE DISMISSED. PRESERVING HUMAN LIFE AND REDUCING THE POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE DAMAGE SHOULD HAVE PRIORITY OVER THE TREE. THE RISK IS REAL TO US AND THE ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN WITHOUT DELAY. 'ACTS OF GOD' CAN NOT BE FORESEEN HOWEVER WE CAN REDUCE POTENTIAL CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES BY TAKING ACTION TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE TREE.
