T1 - Sycamore - Reduce to ground level - tree has significant cavity in the main stem (see photo) and also decay and rot (see photos) in the major union at around 12ft. The tree is in very close proximity to the owners house. T2 - Cherry - Reduce to ground level - tree has signs of fungal growth around the base (see photo) and a large amount of the canopy is showing signs of decline or is already dead.

We wish to remove a conifer tree from the bottom left hand corner of our garden it is sited approximately 8ft from the rear of the garden and approximately 2 ft from the left had border. The tree is approximately . The tree is circa 24ft high and 8 ft wide. Its incongruous with the rest of the garden and its removal would give the adjacent silver birches (2) more space to grow. It would also allow for a small shed to be sited at the rear of the garden. Since we moved into this premises ten years ago we have planted 13 trees in the garden, so whilst its never great to have to remove a tree we have really tried to enhance the environment. We have gained a quote from Acorn Tree Services to complete the work if approved.

Tree 1 Cedrus Deodara It is proposed that routine maintenance of trees as numbered and identified at the above address is carried out by way of crown reduction of between 3-4 metres in height & 1-2 metres in width. In doing so the shape & general health of the trees is to be maintained. Home owner responsibility has identified risk and resulting danger from falling brittle and in some cases dead branches which I would like to address.

Attached is a site plan RG-T001 which marks up each tree with a reference number T1-T6 Sycamore (T1) - remove any minor shoots where previous lower branches have been removed and seal Sycamore (T2) - remove any minor shoots where previous lower branches have been removed and seal Sycamore (T3) - remove any minor shoots where previous lower branches have been removed and seal Sycamore (T4) - lift the crown of the tree to the northeast side of the tree (furthest from the house) up by approx 4-5m, so the canopy lines matches trees T1-3, T5 and allow more light onto the bottom end of the garden. This portion of the tree is not visible from the road. Sycamore (T5) - remove 4-5 offshoot branches from right fork of tree (when looking from the house) which over hang neighbours garden and are very close to their roof (see photo for additional information) Pine (T6) - proposed to be felled to ground level. Reason: the needles collect and hold dust which severely affects two of the residents who have hay fever and asthma. The tree being a pine is out of keeping with the rest of the sycamore group. It blocks the low level views through the main sycamore trees to the bottom end of the garden. It does not affect the main tree grouping from the road (see marked up photo from the road). Trees are within G1 of TPO 55.
