The Nook Albert Road Mapperley Nottingham Nottingham City NG3 4JD

The tree is a Lime tree at The Nook in Albert Road, NG3 4JD in the Alexandra Park conservation area.? The tree is on the edge of our property at the front of the house (and I therefore assume is our responsibility) but is basically in a public area on the street.? ?We have lived here for just over 2 years and undertstand that the tree was once pollarded but appears to have been allowed to grow since.? On the advice of our tree surgeon, we intend to repollard the lime tree back to the main stem to reduce the weight of the branches that are overhanging the road and our garage. This action is necessary due to the presence of a significant cavity from which four main stems are growing (see attached photo and video). By pollarding the tree, we can alleviate the stress on these branches, which will ultimately help preserve the health and longevity of the tree. Reducing the weight of the branches will minimize the risk of breakage and potential damage, ensuring that the tree remains stable and healthy for years to come.

Sanna 3 Albert Road Mapperley Nottingham Nottingham City NG3 4JD
A lime tree in a conservation area has got too big for its environment, growing into phone wires and drooping over the road so lorry's brush it as they're driving by. A competent/trained tree surgeon has suggested a pollard would be suitable for the tree.
