The tree (and it may be more than a single tree) has grown to such a large extent that it is damaging the boundary fence and overshadows half of the rear garden. During high winds the worry is that it could fall and damage the house, possibly killing the occupants. The tree is identified by means of a red arrow on the detailed google plan. The work required is to trim the overhanging branches back to the boundary or to reduce its height and spread to the satisfaction of the City Council. The tree species is not known. Tree is within Bar Lane Industrial Estate NG6 0JA. Ownership is MEADOW LANE SERVICES LIMITED (Co. Regn. No. 11850392) of 1 Pinnacle Way, Pride Park, Derby DE24 8ZS.

T1 & T2 sycamore group - Property owners behind the university have complained the at tree is causing issues with shading and its size. The size of the tree is having an impact on the owners being able to enjoy the use of the rear garden as when in leaf there will be very little light. The tree is mature with a large crown and is located very close to the property, and some of the branches almost touch the roof. Works would be to framework pollard the tree reducing the height and lateral spread by approx 3-4 m thus allowing the tree to be retained.
