Planning application

23/00128/TREECA

Cullercoats Primary School Marden Avenue Cullercoats Tyne And Wear NE30 4PB

Decided North Tyneside work to trees in a conservation area

Proposal

1.Tree 856 - Elm - formative pruning is recommended. 2. Tree 860 - Cherry - crown lift. 3. Tree 861 - Request rail company to fell. 4. Tree 862 - White Poplar - Young mature - Felling recommended and replanting with a more suitable tree. I would advise re-planting with shrubs, the small width of walled area ( less than a metre). 5. Tree 863- White Poplar - felling as the tree is an unsuitable species for location, may be unstable after tree 862 felled. 6. Tree 864 - Weeping Willow - reduce the leaning crown by 2-3 metre's to lessen the weight & risk of failure. 7. Tree 868 - Ash - fell or deadwood prune immediately. Site within Cullercoats conservation area.

About trees applications

How this application type works

Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
