Works: Trees
Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.
Proposal
Sycamore - to remove the sycamore due to a weak forked union with included bark and a developing crack, which presents an increasing risk of failure, together with its limited amenity value and proximity to the boundary. Leyland Cypress - to reduce the height of the Leyland cypress by approximately 6.0 metres and trim the sides to manage its size and reduce the risk of stem failure during severe weather conditions.

T1- silver birch has outgrown its location and is causing nuisance through shading, leaf litter and potential impacts on a neighbouring garden wall. It is therefore proposed to reduce the tree to a 3m monolith, retaining the lower stem as a deadwood habitat feature T2- holm oak has become too large for its setting, creating excessive shade and encroaching into the crown of the adjacent mature ash tree. It is proposed to reduce and shape the tree to 4m in height and maintain it at this size through regular pruning
