Proposed conservation-led repairs to the existing boundary wall at Home Farm, High Street, Duddington, Stamford, PE9 3QE. The works comprise the careful dismantling of the affected section of wall, which has experienced visible settlement at the corner and towards the adjoining gate. Due to the condition of the existing wall, it may be necessary to dismantle the majority or entirety of the affected section to allow safe and effective reconstruction. The wall will be rebuilt to replicate its existing alignment, height, profile and appearance, reusing sound original masonry wherever practicable. Existing cock-and-hen coping will be carefully removed, retained and reinstated following reconstruction. Compatible traditional materials and mortar will be specified following confirmation of the existing construction, with the intention of preserving the historic character and appearance of the wall. No change of use is proposed.
