Planning application

Greenwood 4 Furze Hill Cromer Norfolk NR27 0HU

Granted North Norfolk TW/26/0960 Tree works subject to a TPO

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

Tree 1 - Multi-stemmed Sycamore, 20m high, overhanging house and patio, on unstable and eroded friable bank rising to east, 4m from 4 Furze Hill east boundary and 24m from highway. Risk of injury or damage from branch fall / collapse in high wind and saturated ground. Tree reduction to 1.5m monoliths suggested, followed by adjacent replanting with Holm Oak sapling to match understory. Tree 2 - Multi-stemmed Sycamore, 20m high, overhanging driveway, highway and telephone cables, 6m from 4 Furze Hill east boundary and 7m from highway. Large areas of dieback / dead branches evident in upper canopy, with history of shedding substantial limbs. Risk of injury or damage from sudden failure. Tree reduction to 3m monoliths suggested if removal of all dieback / diseased areas by crown reduction to remove overhanging hazard impractical, followed by adjacent replanting with Holm Oak sapling to match understory.
