Tollbar Cottage 1 Snoring Road Walsingham Norfolk NR22 6EA

Decided North Norfolk IS4/23/0739 Informal Silver Level 4 Tree Advice

Works: Trees

Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.

Proposal

We have / had, a small stand of conifers adjacent Toll Bar Cottage, Holt Road, Walsingham, you may recall we recently clear felled ash and sycamores wood surrounding the cottage, since the trees have been removed the exposed conifers are suffering wind damage, during recent high on evening 9th March, 2 of the 4 trees were blown over breaking the BT line leaving 2 adjacent the highway and BT pole further exposed, would it be possible to remove these immediately or would you rather we make tree work application for the works. I will call to discuss but thought to send photos to clarify size and condition of the remaining trees.

Mature Atlas Cedar located on lawns of scheduled monument site of St Marys Priory, Sunk Road, Walsingham. Remove entire upper structure, to reduce risk of significant stem / limb failure by reducing wind load and exposure. The lower crown also requires extensive remedial surgery to address the multiple weak and compromised limbs and unions as identified during the recent aerial inspection.
