The pollarding will be a component part of an ongoing programme of maintenance with a 5 year frequency, reviewing the growth from the pollarding and new, decaying or dead branches. Reasons: The canopies of the trees are encroaching on our property and that of two adjoining properties in Clematis Drive. Root damage has also occurred to a building in Clematis Drive. In our case the size of the canopies has resulted in a significant reduction in sunlight throughout the property in summer months.
