Tree 1 Multi-stem Ash: The multi-stem Ash has suffered significant structural decline. Two stems have already failed, with one failed stem currently hung up within the canopy. Several cavities are present at the base of the tree together with fungal fruiting bodies, indicating advanced decay. Proposed Works: Reduce the two remaining stems to approximately 5 metres in height, making suitable reduction cuts where practicable to leave a stable framework. Remove the failed and hung-up material as part of the works. Tree 2 Single-stem Ash: Proposed Works: Reduce the single-stem Ash tree to approximately 6 metres in height which is approximately half of its original height Tree 3 Double-stem Ash: Proposed Works: Reduce the right-hand stem of the double-stem Ash tree to approximately 6 metres in height, cutting back to viable growth points

T1 Ash Tree: Remove/Fell Ash tree due to excessive lean next to house. Replant: Silver Birch. T2 & T3 Ash Trees at roughly 12m tall both around the same height. The lateral spread is at roughly 3.5m meters from base of tree. Reduce the hight of both trees to 9m whilst blend sides into the bottom following natural flowing lines and secondary growth points. Leaving both trees 3 meters from the base of the stems. Both T2 & T3 to Deadwood.

The proposal is to pollard 4 trees to a height of 13 metres with a spread of 4-5 metres measured from the base of the tree. The existing canopy within the new framework will be retained. The pollarding will be a component part of an ongoing programme of maintenance with a 5 year frequency, reviewing the growth from the pollarding and new, decaying or dead branches. Reasons: The canopies of the trees are encroaching on our property and that of two adjoining properties in Clematis Drive. Root damage has also occurred to a building in Clematis Drive. In our case the size of the canopies has resulted in a significant reduction in sunlight throughout the property in summer months.
