What happens while it is decided
The process from here
This application is with North East Lincolnshire for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

All 3 trees are ash and are western most trees G50 containing 4 Ash. Western most tree - Fell (reason: trunk decaying with active shaggy polypore infection at 4m) tree biased towards Richmond and provides minimal visual amenity.Central tree - Reduce crown by 4m in height and 2m in lateral spread, reshape to suitable growth points (reason: tree has suspected decay lesion in main fork at 5m)Eastern most tree - Reduce lateral spread 3m to North, 4.5m to south and reshape to suitable secondary shoots, clean out dead wood and ivy (reason: crown spreads widely above neighbouring garden and garage roof of Springfield)

1 Green Acres Waltham Grimsby North East Lincolnshire DN37 0QG
am writing regarding a large spruce at 1 Green Acres, Waltham, DN37 0QG. The tree is very large and mature and is situated close to the property. Its dense canopy causes substantial shading and a significant loss of natural daylight to the house and garden. I would be grateful if you could confirm whether this spruce is covered by a Tree Preservation Order and, if so, provide the TPO reference and plan identifying the tree. I would also like to request that a Tree Officer inspects the tree and considers whether removal would be appropriate given its current size, proximity to the property and the significant shading it causes. I note that the Council has previously permitted the removal and reduction of TPO-protected trees at 4 and 5 Green Acres where shading and proximity to properties were relevant considerations, including application DM/0101/20/TPO at 4 Green Acres. If removal were considered appropriate, I would be happy to discuss suitable replacement planting in a more appropriate location.
