Proposal
Screening request under the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations 2017 relating to two extensions to the current site. Extension 1 is an approximate 7.6-hectare extraction area situated south east of the current site and within the allocation area for Site A3 as identified under the adopted MLP. Including internal access and soil stores this extension area covers approximately 10.46 hectares. It is estimated that this area contains a saleable mineral reserve of the order of 190,000 tonnes. Extension 2 is an approximate 2.9-hectare extraction area situated north east of the current site. This area is outside the allocation area for the current site, but within the Area of Search for sand and gravel deposits as defined it the adopted plan. Including internal access and soil stores this extension area covers approximately 6.64 hectares. It is estimated that this area contains a saleable mineral reserve of the order of 95,000 tonnes
