REAR OPEN SPACE (rear 25 Pitfold Rd): TWO Lombardy Poplars (T1 and T2)(in G1 in TPO)(approx.ht.13-14m) FELL. Duty to replace applies. Reason: recent health and safety inspection identified the trees are dead and risk to nearby property. The London Borough of Lewisham (Land at the rear of Woodyates Road and Pitfold Road, London SE12) Tree Preservation Order 1996. Informative A: the landowner has a duty to plant a replacement TPO tree when there is an urgent necessity to remove the tree because it is dead or presents an immediate risk of serious harm, para 79 and 80 Tree Preservation Orders and trees in conservation areas, government guidance 6 March 2014. Informative B: two replacement trees are required, species selected from: beech, hornbeam, field maple, wild cherry, aspen, sessile oak. Informative C: if possible, retain safe high stems or stumps for wildlife and biodiversity. Informative D: the Trust's previous tree planting as part of the Queens Green Canopy and habitat enhancement including log piles is greatly appreciated and encouraged to maintain the site's wooded character and biodiversity benefits for amenity, wellbeing, wildlife and environment including shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change
