Planning application
47 NEWQUAY ROAD, LONDON, SE6 2NR
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
REAR: ONE Scots pine (T1 )(ht.12m) FELL. Reason: tree has grown big for its environment, near the house and neighbours outbuilding. Informative A: the retention of the Scots pine is encouraged, possibly with removal of the lowest branches to lift the canopy, as it is a fine feature specimen tree in the rear garden providing rear amenity, wildlife habitat and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change. Informative B: if the tree is felled, the proposed replacement tree planting towards end of rear garden is hugely appreciated to maintain the treed character of rear gardens in this part of the Culverley Green conservation area and to maintain the urban forest canopy for wildlife and environmental benefits. Informative C: the retention of the tree adjacent to the Scots Pine on the left hand boundary is greatly welcomed as a tree feature in the rear garden and for environmental benefits. Informative D: please create habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity.
