Planning application
2 STATION BUILDINGS, CATFORD ROAD, LONDON, SE6 4QZ
Withdrawn before a decision, so it carries no planning weight. A revised scheme can be submitted at any time.
Proposal
The premises are located at 2 Station Buildings, SE6 4QZ, within a small retail parade adjacent to Catford Bridge Station in Lewisham. The unit is a ground-floor convenience store in a mixed commercial area with good transport links and regular footfall. The shop is a single open-plan retail space with one customer entrance at the front. The counter is positioned to provide clear visibility of the store entrance, including the alcohol display area which is located behind the counter. Alcohol sales will be strictly for off-premises consumption only. No seating, tables, or facilities are provided inside or outside the shop for the consumption of alcohol. All alcohol will be sold in sealed containers for customers to take away. The premises are equipped with a comprehensive CCTV system covering entry and exit points, the counter area, and the alcohol display. Recordings will be retained in line with statutory requirements and made available to responsible authorities on request. To support the licensing objectives, the following measures are in place: Prevention of Crime and Disorder: Staff training in responsible alcohol sales; refusal log maintained; CCTV monitored and recordings retained. Public Safety: Clear fire exits and signage; store layout designed to prevent congestion. Prevention of Public Nuisance: No on-site alcohol consumption; external area monitored to prevent loitering. Protection of Children from Harm: Challenge 25 policy in operation; all staff trained to verify ID before sale; alcohol display located in a supervised area of the store.
