Proposal
An application submitted under Section 96a of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 for a non-material amendment in connection with the planning permission (DC/24/134698) dated 15 February 2024, for the variation of Condition 2 (approved plans) in order to allow:- To amend the landscaping arrangement to provide one additional disabled parking space next to Oakview to meet client demand, to provide 2 additional mini-bus parking bays in the site to connect to EVCP, to reconfigure the staff/disabled parking next to Sedgefield Road to allow for the re-location of the mini-bus spaces, to provide potential informal taxi-drop spaces within the site playground. To reduce the area of rain garden and omission of one tree to the tree planting near the gates of the Oakview Road entrance. To confirm that photovoltaic panels (PVs) will be provided across the main proposed building roof and biodiverse green roofs to the lower terrace roof. To Make Other Changes: landscape storage unit moved north; minibus storage unit positioned behind the cycle parking area; planting beds relocated to the edges within the extended central play area to maximise play space; improve visibility and reduce potential trip hazards; Rainwater planters positoned around the new building were omitted as requested by the school as they were considered a trip hazard and would impede access; Central cycle parking enclosure increased in size; External stairs added to the northwest corner of the new building to accommodate existing site levels; Bin store doors and adjacent planting beds repositioned to accommodate existing site / road levels; MUGA access paths from Oakview Road and Sedgehill Road updated to accommodate existing site levels and minimise impact on the existing tree. at Watergate School, Lushington Road SE6

The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About amendments applications
How this application type works
An amendment application changes a permission that already exists. Non-material amendments cover small adjustments with no wider effect, while minor material amendments, usually made by varying a condition, allow modest design changes without a fresh application. Anything beyond that needs a new permission, so the scope here is deliberately narrow.
