Reason: the tree is dead (and shows signs of being dead some time), located on a retaining wall above access to rear garages with high pedestrian footfall. Tree replanting proposal 10-12 cm girth Prunus Umineko or similar as practical at the time, under duty to replace. FRONT: ONE Cherry (T2)(ht.8m) LATERAL REDUCE by 2m from 2m to 0m on E compass point. Reason: to remove dead branch overhanging the road, exempt works. Informative A: the replacement cherry is hugely appreciated, ref duty to replace applies if a tree in a conservation area is removed because it is dead or presents a risk of serious harm: Tree Preservation Orders and trees in conservation areas, guidance, para 121. Informative B: please retain safe standing stump timber and create habitat log piles on site from the deadwood for wildlife and biodiversity.
