REAR: SIX Horse Chestnut (G23)(ht.12m) FELL. Reason: tall stems, narrow canopies, close grown trees, fell to benefit other trees for health of woodland. Informative A: the tree works do not include the two front mature Horse chestnut trees (T16,T17 in TPO) which are protected by the London Borough of Lewisham (Somerset Gardens and Loampit Hill) Tree Preservation Order 1974. Informative B: the sensitive management of the woodland garden for the treed amenity setting of Somerset Gardens, the urban forest canopy, wildlife and environmental benefits is greatly appreciated.
