REAR: ONE Poplar (T4)(approx.ht.25m) FELL and replace. Reason: tree likely to be causing clay shrinkage subsidence issues at nearby property 105b Breakspears Rd, replacement planting considered by MWA arboricultural report 23/11/22. REAR: ONE Goat Willow (T5)(approx.ht.10m) CROWN REDUCE by approx.4m to ht.5-6m to previous prune points. Reason: structural issues at nearby property, recommendation to prune on triennial cycle to maintain at broadly reduced dimensions. Informative A: the MWA arboricultural report 23/11/2022 indicates structural damage at no.105 is category 2 (slight), to the rear projection, the contribution from (T4) to the damage is uncertain as it is one of the smaller species within the genus, located at its limit to affect the property and there is no certainty roots have reached the dwelling. Informative B: Replacement planting in arboricultural report conclusions, p.4, is greatly welcomed to maintain the treed character of gardens in the Brockley conservation area, maintain the urban forest canopy, for wildlife and environmental benefits. Informative C: replacement trees suggested from NHBC low water demand species: mulberry, birch, laburnum, hazel, holly, honey locust, fig, elder, magnolia, hornbeam, tulip tree.
