Reason: to lessen risk of branch failure, improve light conditions, prune to suitable points and maintain natural aesthetic. SIDE: Lime (T2)(TPO A2)(ht.16m) CROWN THIN by 20%, remove deadwood. Reason: remove overhanging deadwood, health & safety, improve tree aesthetics. FRONT: Lime (T3)(TPO A2)(ht.10-12m) FELL. Reason: lapsed pollard at ht.7-8m with stem bark loss, large cavity at base of the main stem, less than 30% holding wood remaining, remove hazard to access road, health & safety. A native species will be planted as a replacement. Informative A: the replacement tree for lime (T3) in the TPO area A2 is appreciated to maintain the tree canopy cover and treed character of Dome Hill Park within the Hillcrest Estate Woodland Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation (BSINC), a remnant ancient woodland. Species to be selected from: sessile oak, small leaved lime, hornbeam, wild cherry, field maple.
