Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

REAR: ONE multistemmed Rowan (T1)(ht.9m) FELL. Reason: tree is dead, stems have snapped out, health & safety. Duty to replace applies - see informative A. REAR (38 Handen Rd): ONE Yew (T2) REDUCE RADIUS by approx.1m on N compass point to boundary line. Reason: to provide clearance from building, neighbour's yew is encroaching on the property, growing very close to the house. The replacement tree will be beneficial for rear amenity, wildlife and climate change mitigation species such as crab apple, quince (Cydonia 'Meeches Prolific'), Tibetan cherry, winter flowering cherry, Amelanchier, Mulberry, Cornus Kousa, Crataegus xprunifolia, Wild service tree, Strawberry tree, pear, whitebeam. Informative B: retain safe standing dead timber for endangered stag beetle habitat and create habitat log piles for biodiversity.
