The tree is in a hedgerow so there is no space to plant a replacement. REAR (no.2): ONE Sycamore (T2)(ht.10m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by 2m from 10m to ht.8m. Reason: reduction to shape canopy, pruning to suitable points and maintaining natural aesthetic, to improve light conditions, reduce blocking of light to solar panels, lateral spread to remain untouched. Reason: health & safety, the tree is in severe physiological and structural decline, leaning towards the road, several branches have already failed, and although a small amount of live growth remains, the tree has no meaningful long-term viability, the significantly compromised structure presents an unacceptable risk of further branch or whole-tree failure onto highway.
