FRONT: TWO Lime (G1) RE-POLLARD by approx.2m from approx.ht.14m to approx.ht.12m to previous pollard points. Remove basal and epicormic growth. Reason: routine maintenance to retain the trees at a suitable size for their location. Informative: if possible the tree works to be carried out after leaf fall to enable invertebrates to complete their life cycles, such as the Lime Hawkmoth whose caterpillars move to the ground in autumn in search of a place to hibernate as a chrysalis just below the soil surface.
