What happens at appeal
The process from here
This application is at appeal, which passes the decision from the council to the national planning inspectorate, or in Scotland usually to a local review body first. The appeal considers the scheme afresh against the same policies.
Anyone who commented on the original application is normally notified and can comment again within the appeal deadline. Appeal decisions take months rather than weeks, and the outcome replaces the council's decision.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

FRONT/REAR: ONE Ash tree & THREE Cherry trees (G1) Ht approx 15m (Ash) approx 5m (Cherry) FELL to ground level. REASON: Ash is a poor specimen with an included fork at the base. It has been periodically pollarded due to this but felling and replacement is the best long term option. All three (Cherry trees) are poor specimens with die back in the crown symptomatic of declining physiological condition. REPLANTING PROPOSAL: Four native drought resistant trees will be planted as part of an overall scheme to improve the diversity and resilience of tree stock in the park. ONE Cherry tree (T1) Ht ??m FELL to ground level. REASON: The tree has died. REPLANTING PROPOSAL: Another Cherry will be planted as a replacement. ONE Horse chestnut tree (T2) - HEIGHT REDUCTION by 3m from 14m to 11m. Reduction to shape canopy, pruning to suitable points and maintaining natural aesthetic. The leader is showing dieback & bark is peeling from the stem. The tree will tolerate the pruning as specified above. ONE Lime tree (T3) Ht approx 15m FELL to ground level. REASON: The ash is approximately 15m in height. It is a poor specimen with a large cavity at the crown break. A heavy reduction would be required as a minimum but replacement is the better long term option. REPLANTING PROPOSAL: A native drought resistant tree will be planted as part of an overall scheme to improve the diversity and resilience of tree stock in the park. ONE Lime tree (T4) - CROWN REDUCTION Ht by1m from 7m to 6m Spread by 2m from 7m to 5m. Reduction to shape canopy, pruning to suitable points and maintaining natural aesthetic.
