Planning application
175 WALLER ROAD, LONDON, SE14 5LX
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
REAR: ONE Beech (T2)(ht.17m) FELL (subsidence issue at no.173) REAR: ONE Beech (T3)(ht15m) FELL (old basal fire damage, crown suppressed by T2) REAR: ONE Beech (T4)(ht15m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by max 2m, from 15m to 13m, REDUCE RADIUS by approx 1-2m from approx 2-5m to approx 1-3m at all compass points (crown supressed and one sided by T2; also basal bark loss). Informative: the council considers there is insufficient evidence that beech T2 is the sole cause of the subsidence issues at 173 Waller Road. However the council is not in a position to place a TPO on the tree T2 as it is not visible from the public realm. Consequently the recommendation is for the council to issue a decision notice of no objection to the above works. The notice is valid for two years. The owner of the trees can decide whether or not to carry out any of the above works within the two years and can at any time submit another tree work notice for alternative tree works.
