Informative A: the landowner has a duty to plant another tree of an appropriate size and species when a tree is removed in a conservation area because it is dead or presents an immediate risk of serious harm. Ref. Tree Preservation Orders and trees in conservation areas, guidance, para 121 ? species such as: crab apple, field maple, hawthorn, Turkish hazel, Pride of India/Golden Rain tree (Koelreuteria paniculata), pear (Pyrus communis), Katsura (Cercidiphyllum japonicum), Magnolia Kobus. Informative B: please leave the stump safely trimmed to remove sharp splintered wood to decay as habitat for the endangered stag beetle and thank you for creating habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity. Informative C: huge thank you for retaining other trees for amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change and if possible please plant additional large canopy trees to support London's Urban Forest.
