What a grant of permission means
The process from here

The tree is heavily waited and has a dramatic lean in the opposite direction to the split in the main stem (see attached pictures). The area is used by people and children on occasions. The church would like to retain the tree and by reducing heavily by up to 50% as this it will prolong its life expectancy.
