    REAR: TWO Sycamore (T1, T2)(two close grown stems, approx.ht.12-14m) FELL. Reason: ivy clad and large fox burrow beneath tree, concerns for root stability. REAR: ONE Conifer (T3) FELL. Reason: low amenity, in decline. REAR: GROUP of small shrubs (G1) FELL. Reason: to clear garden of debris and shrubs which has encouraged foxes, causing nuisance from faeces. Alternative specification for the sycamore if appropriate with regard to safety: REAR: TWO Sycamore (T1, T2)(two close grown stems, approx.ht.12-14m) REDUCE HEIGHT by 3-4m from approx.12-14m to approx.8-10m, REDUCE RADIUS by approx.2m from approx.5m to approx.3m on all compass points. (Ivy control, exempt works) Informative: it would be preferable if the tree can be retained safely with crown reduction instead of felling when removal of the ivy enables the tree root base to be inspected thoroughly. If retention is not possible, a replacement tree would be much appreciated to maintain the urban forest and ecosystem services.
