Withdrawn Lambeth Variation of Condition

Proposal

Variation of Condition 13 (opening hours) of planning permission ref. 24/01542/VOC, granted on 04 March 2025, which varied Condition 2 (approved plans) of planning permission ref. 16/05063/FUL, granted on 09 March 2017, for the demolition of the existing building and erection of a building including basement to provide commercial, business and service uses (Use Class E) at ground and basement levels with self contained residential flats above. The variation seeks to amend Condition 13 to allow the ground floor commercial unit to be open to members of the public between 07:00 and 20:00 on Mondays to Sundays and Bank Holidays. It is proposed that Condition 13 is varied to read: The use of the premises shall not be open to members of the public other than between 07:00 and 20:00 on Mondays to Sundays and Bank Holidays.

What withdrawal means

The process from here

The applicant withdrew this application before the council decided it, so it carries no planning weight and no fee refund is automatic. Withdrawal often follows officer feedback that a refusal was likely.

The applicant is free to submit a revised application at any time, and many withdrawn schemes return in amended form, so the site is worth watching if the proposal affected you.

About amendments applications

How this application type works

An amendment application changes a permission that already exists. Non-material amendments cover small adjustments with no wider effect, while minor material amendments, usually made by varying a condition, allow modest design changes without a fresh application. Anything beyond that needs a new permission, so the scope here is deliberately narrow.
