What a grant of permission means

The process from here

Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.

Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.

About full applications applications

How this application type works

A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

2/TPO/00096: T1 Beech - 2 metre reduction on lateral branches overhanging neighbours to the East. T3,T4,T5,T6 Sycamore- 2 metre lateral branches reduction on branches overhanging neighbours to the east. 1.5 meter height reduction. The trees are heavily weight to the east with minimal growth on the hall side. This will keep the trees aesthetically in proportion and balance the crown. T7 Sweet chestnut - 2 metre lateral branches reduction on branches overhanging neighbours to the east. 1.5 metre height reduction. The trees are heavily weight to the east with minimal growth on the hall side. This will keep the trees aesthetically in proportion and balance the crown. The neighbouring properties have had serval limbs falling into their property. While there has not been any significant damage I find it a reasonable request to reduce the tip weight on the trees to minimise the risk of more branches and debris falling onto property. The trees are situated directly over driveways and access roads with high traffic use and high value targets. All pruning cuts will be carried out to bs3998 and less than 30% mass of any individual tree will be removed
