1. I am applying for permission to fell and remove the plane tree in my rear garden. Please see attached photos of the tree and its setting. I have also attached the aerial view of the garden and tree I wish to remove. 2. You shall see from the attached photos that: a. The tree is of an excessive size, with correspondingly invasive roots. b. The wall of my neighbour is cracked. I am extremely concerned that this cracking has been caused by the trees routes and that the tree may be undermining the structural integrity of other buildings including my own. I am concerned of the risk of subsidence given the tree's proximity to a number of buildings. c. The tree is overbearing and blocks out light to both my garden and my neighbours. d. The tree is not visible from the street and shall not affect the amenity of the conservation zone - it is only visible from my flat.
