No plans to replant a tree: it is a small garden, the Acer is next door, also there is a big lime tree on the other side to the West, overhanging this garden, which may be contributing to the Cotoneaster's poor health (aphid mess), and a big plane tree nearby to the East. See photos. The regrowth from the Cotoneaster stump might be managed as a shrub in future.
