Split decision Isle of Wight 26/00283/TW Tree Works to TPO

Works: Trees

Part of this application was approved and part refused. The decision notice on the council portal sets out which is which.

Proposal

Amendment to proposed works 01.04.2026: T1; Pine - Remove the lower branch that is consistently struck by the refuse lorry. Remove the smaller branch that crosses and rubs on the substantial limb that projects to the SE. Raise the canopy to the level of the adjacent building ridge. Carry out a canopy clean to remove dead wood that could fall. Reason: Clearance for access road and refuse lorry. G2; Pines x2 - Fell. Reason: Pose a serious risk to life and property. Small slender tree (within G2) - Fell. Reason: Very poor specimen with few branches that has hunted for light.
