Planning application

Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1; Ash - Pollard at approx. 5m to mitigate risk of difficulty dealing with in the event of contracting Hymenoscyphus frax. and to prevent potential failure onto nearby houses. T2; Alder - Coppice/bollard at approx. 1m to regenerate. The tree is in poor condition with a sizeable decay cavity in the base. Rejuvenating now will avoid risk of losing the tree to wind failure. T3; Oak - Pollard at approx. 4m to retain whilst reducing competition with adjacent oak of better form. T4; Ash - Remove/reduce over-extended limbs and dead wood within striking distance of the goat pen.

T4; English Oak - Reduce lower lateral over-extending branches back to suitable growth points up to 2-3m from branch tips; remove downward growing branches to prevent further leveraging. Reason: Lower canopy has become unbalanced and leaning more towards the client's property. By reducing the large lateral limbs and removing downward growth we hope to promote re-balancing and take off some weight to prevent leveraging.
