Granted Isle of Wight 21/01412/TW Tree Works to TPO

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T1; Red Oak - Trim the canopy of the tree (remedial works). Firstly, due to breakage of large limb near the base of the tree broken off, see photo ref 2, possibly due to disease. See report from Mick Jones ,aboricultural specialist (report was done prior to breakage of limb) Any further collapse of the tree could cause potential damage/danger. It is close to neighbouring roof (neighbours have informed the council of their fears regarding this).

T4; English Oak - Reduce lower lateral over-extending branches back to suitable growth points up to 2-3m from branch tips; remove downward growing branches to prevent further leveraging. Reason: Lower canopy has become unbalanced and leaning more towards the client's property. By reducing the large lateral limbs and removing downward growth we hope to promote re-balancing and take off some weight to prevent leveraging.
