Proposal
T1 Copper Beech - 30% crown reduction approximately 3m from tips. Reason: The location offers considerable impact on the rear garden. Without size management the tree would ultimately completely cover the garden preventing light and growing of plants etc. It is proposed to manage the tree with cyclical crown reductions to control canopy size and prevent gross conflict with the owners use of their garden. Raise canopy to 6m to clear traffic using the road and create a balanced form.

What happens while it is decided
The process from here
This application is with Hinckley and Bosworth for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

T1 Lawsons Cypress: Removal of the Lawsons Cypress is proposed due to its very close proximity to the adjacent property, approximately 1.5 metres away. T2 Cedar of Lebanon: Reduce all lateral and upper branches by approximately 3 metres to maintain a smaller, more manageable crown size and reduce the potential risk of branch failure.
